Patty Mitchell, Principal

Patty Mitchell is the Founder and President of the Mitchell Consulting Cooperative, and a Principal with The Thornton Group. With over 20 years experience in business consulting, publishing, digital media, product marketing, sales and communication, Patty Mitchell brings a high-level holistic approach to achieving strategic objectives in cross-functional environments. An experienced consultant, coach, mentor and executive leader, Patty understands that strategy without tactics is not worth the paper it is written on and is not afraid to roll up her sleeves to execute tactically as well.

Prior to forming the Mitchell Consulting Cooperative Patty served as President of Consumer Media for Move Inc. where she developed the company's first online-offline advertising strategy, including new pricing and sales compensation plans, created and executed a comprehensive restructuring plan resulting in increased profitability and the successful divesture of under-performing assets.

As the Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales for at Six Apart, Inc. she created and held P&L responsibility for the Consumer Media Division, including the development of new revenue streams, products and business models. Prior to Six Apart, Patty served as Vice President and General Manager at Knight RIdder's RealCities Network, General Manager for IAC's Citysearch.com and held leadership positions with Infinity Broadcasting, Target Corporation and Lord & Taylor Department stores.

An engaging, dynamic and thought-provoking public speaker, moderator and panelist, throughout her career Patty has appeared on radio, television and at numerous conferences, trade shows and events: Ad Tech, Digital Hollywood, Online Publishers Association (OPA), Newspaper Associate of America (NAA), Online Media & Marketing Association (OMMA). She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her daughter where she enjoys treating her friends to her cooking and world famous homemade limoncello at events hosted in her backyard garden.
